    Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park / Overnight in Tented Camp Serengeti

The first day of this amazing adventure starts very early by leaving Arusha at 6:00 am and start heading to Serengeti National Park through Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will arrive at the entrance in Ngorongoro in 3 to 4 hours. At the gate, your guide will take care of your entrance into the Ngorongoro conservation area. With some luck, you are most likely to start encountering baboons at this entrance. Immediately after entering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will start encountering wild animals. The areas close to the gate up to the crater viewpoint have thick forest/bush but this doesn’t mean you see anything as you are likely to encounter herds of buffaloes and elephants. You will have a quick stop at the crater rim viewpoint then continue your journey to Serengeti National Park through Nabi gate.

On your way, you will encounter wild animals living outside the crater and sometimes grazing along with Maasai cattle that live along in the area. The areas around Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park are believed to be the ancestral homes of the Maasai hence during their formation as a conservation area and national park in 1959 by the British colonial government the Maasais from these areas were made to choose where to live between the two parks and went for Ngorongoro Conservation area.

You will arrive in Serengeti National Park in the afternoon, have your lunch boxes and continue with an afternoon game drive until evening, and head to the campsite. At the campsite, you will be able to enjoy nice sunset before having a hot dinner and sleepover.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park wHOLE DAY / Overnight AT TENTED CAMP IN SERENGETI

On the second day, you will start the day with an early game drive at the crack of dawn just after having breakfast. (Special arrangement can be done with the driver to start at a time that is best for you) You will do a game drive in Serengeti National Park for the whole day. The Serengeti National Park covers 14643 square kilometers and on this day you will enjoy driving around this vast natural wonder. You will have another lunch box and continue with the game drive until evening and return to the campsite for a hot dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha City

On the third day, you will start the day with breakfast at the camp then start driving to Ngorongoro crater. On the way, you may make short stops for game views but ultimately the goal for this day will be to get to Ngorongoro crater. Upon entry, you will descend down to the crater floor where all action happens. One thing you may quickly notice is the change in the size of the animals that live inside the crater in comparison to the ones that live outside the crater. The crater is full of food, water, and minerals that are abundantly everywhere inside it which makes the animals inside the crater grow so big that they don’t walk far to get them. Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest unbroken caldera and is unique in the sense that there is a large diverse flora and fauna in it.

You will have a game drive for around 3 hours. You will stop for lunch at the hippo pool inside the crater. Upon exiting the crater you will start heading back to Arusha, a 4-hour ride, and arrive in the evening.

    End of the trip.
