Materuni is a small village neighboring Mount Kilimanjaro National Park, 15Km from Moshi town. The village is home to the captivating Materuni Waterfalls and home to beautiful scenic nature. This is a treat for nature lovers as you take a 45 minutes hike down to the waterfalls from the village walking between lush green farms full of coffee, bananas, avocados and other natural trees.
The waterfalls stretch 70 meters from its basin. The water could be too cold for most to swim in and although you maybe tempted to swim in the pool we do not recommend it.
The trip also includes cultural tour to coffee farm owned by locals who demonstrate to you the coffee plant growth stages and local ways of processing coffee beans. You will also have a local lunch after the hike before ending this epic adventure.
